The manner of execution of subsidy programmes, including the amounts allocated and details of beneficiaries of such amounts

As such WCL does not have any subsidy schemes/programmes for public. Most of WCL’s operating mines are located in remote rural areas which are socio-economically backward and deficient in the basic civic amenities. WCL, as responsible corporate citizen has been addressing the issue of community development in the neighbourhood areas of its stations, which had been impacted due to establishment of the project. Under CSR policy of WCL during FY 2022-23, total CSR expenditure was ₹11.62 crore

Coal mining operations have intricate connection with people and communities. Stronger bonds between the Company and its stakeholders help forge sustainable relationships that bolster the foundation of our people centric approach.

In collaboration with local communities, NGOs and government agencies, WCL has implemented several projects that specifically designed to cater to the needs of the marginalised sections of society.
