Corporate Social Responsibility

Though mandatory CSR is a recent phenomenon, WCL has been fulfilling its social responsibility since its inception in more ways than one. Much before CSR law and rules came into being, WCL had formulated its “Community Development” policy to develop the areas within a radius of 8 km. of its mines and projects. This has resulted in a harmonious relationship with nearby communities. Over the years, the Company and the surrounding community have come together openly and honestly with a promise that they are going to live and work together with respect.
