WCL TEJAS Batch 7 | Director (HR) Inspires Future Leaders! A motivating day at the HRD Campus as Dr. H. S. Pandey, Director (HR), interacted with the Seventh Batch of TEJAS on 21.11.2025. Warmly welcomed by the GM (Min/HRD) and HRD Team, Sir spoke on resilience, continuous learning, mental well-being, and reminded everyone that “no one is indispensable.” Participants shared their key takeaways: • Smt. Harshita (Asst. Manager E&M, Nagpur Area) - gained valuable Mining knowledge. • Shri Harsha (Manager Civil, Ballarpur) - highlighted insights on HEMM. • Shri Prasanna (AM Mining, Umrer) - appreciated the ERP session at Maladdhokda. • Shri Venkatesh (Civil, Majri) - shared learnings on Koyla Shakti App & GIS Survey. • Shri Saurabh Bagachi (Dy. Manager Finance, Umrer) - shared his ambition to become Director (Finance). All participants expressed gratitude to D(HR) for this transformative initiative. Further encouraging a diverse outlook, the D(HR) shared a list of his favorite readings, which included the novels Pepilon French Novel, The Alchemist, God father Airport, and Atlas Shrek. TEJAS continues to prepare WCL’s young officers with knowledge, confidence, and a future-ready mindset.

A CSR Health Camp was conducted today i.e on *20/11/2025* at Pirawa village near Gokul OCM, Wherein Dr.Ganesh Adhav examined total *105* Patients for their various health issues like,Fungal Infection (04),Cough-cold With Viral Fever (39), Generalized body Pain (50),Hypertension (07), DM (03)Various Old & New injuries (02) Beneficiaries: Male -33/ Female -36 CHILDREN= MALE -25/ FEMALE -11 Dr. Ganesh Adhav explained symptoms and preventive aspects of Tuberculosis amongst School Staff as a part of '100 days Intensified program 'for eradication of TB under NTEP. * Deworming of all School childrens done. ALERT AWARENESS WEEK 2025 celebrated from 18th August 2025 to 17th November 2025 in the Pench area in which all the common people were aware and different types of alertness awareness by the Pench area staff through nookd play Events were organized, including essay competition, immediate speech competition and question forum where officers and staff participated in the competition. The winners of all competitions and the Nukkad Drama team were awarded with prizes. Inauguration of Creche Facility at Wani North Area

The Creche facility at wani North Area was inaugurated on 18th November 2025 by Dr. Hemant Sharad Pande, Director (HR), WCL. The occasion was graced by Shri G.P Khanna Sir, Area General Manager, Wani North Area, along with other senior executives and staff members of the Area. The inauguration of the Creche marks a significant step towards ensuring welfare and work-life balance for women employees in the Area by providing a safe, nurturing, and child-friendly environment for their children during working hours. On this special occasion, children of 15 female employees attended the program with enthusiasm. The event was made memorable with the distribution of sweets, gifts, and toysto the children, bringing smiles and cheer to their faces. The initiative reflects the organization’s commitment towards employee welfare, inclusivity, and support for working mothers, enabling them to contribute productively at the workplace while ensuring the well-being of their children.

Inter Area Kabaddi Tournament 2025 at WCL, Wani North Area concluded

Inter Area Kabaddi Tournament 2025 at WCL, Wani North Area concluded with a grand closing and prize distribution ceremony held in Wani North Area. An exciting display of sports spirit and team spirit in the tournament. Director (Human Resource), in this programme Shri Dr.Hemant Sharad Pande sir appeared as Chief Guest and encouraged both the winning and runner-up teams with his motivational words. Mr. Satish R, member of WCL operations committee in function. Gabale, Mr. Ann. T. Maske, General Manager Welfare/CSR Mr. G. Sitaraman, General Manager Human Resource Mr. Ajay Kumar Sinha, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Many dignitaries including Jayashree Moghe and Kalyan Mandal members were present. Under the guidance and leadership of Shri G.P. Khanna, Area General Manager of Wani North Region, this program was organized effectively, appreciated by all the attendees. Area Welfare Committee members, department heads, executives and WCL staff participated enthusiastically in the tournament and contributed to the success of the occasion.

Children's Day Health Camp for children

Coal India Golden Jubilee Celebration and Children's Day Health Camp for children was organized at Zilla Parishad School, Patala. This camp under the inspirational and empowering leadership of AGM Shri Rakesh Prasad Sir, AMO Dr. R . Ann. Guidance and guidance of Kishore Sir. Successfully completed with the presence of GM (op) Mr. Vikas Aggarwal Sir. The main objective of the camp was to early identify health problems in children and educate them about the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Total 100 school children tested by Paediatrician Dr. Manjeet Chauhan while ENT Specialist Dr. Kailash Umbarkar Sir tested the problems of ear, nose and throat. Dr. Umbarkar Sir also gave brief and important information on Diabetes Awareness, which was related to World Diabetes Day 2025's theme "Empowering Families for a Healthier Future". Children's general health check-up was conducted by Dr. Kanchan Jambhule, identifying cold-cold, anemia, itching (scabies), fungal infection and minor nutritional problems.
